Richard de Berkyng was Abbot of Westminster from 1222 to his death on 23rd November 1246. He was first buried in the old Lady Chapel.

The coat of arms of Lord Rupert Nevill are in the west window of the Lady Chapel. He was a Trustee of the Westminster Abbey Trust, which raised millions of pounds for the restoration of the stonework of the Abbey.

The gilded stone cross on the west gable is a memorial to Thomas (Tommy) G. Thompson, Secretary and Executive Director of the Westminster Abbey Trust.

Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh attended a Service of Thanksgiving to Celebrate the Diamond Anniversary of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award at Westminster Abbey at Noon on Thursday 24th November 2016. They were accompanied by Their Royal Highnesses the Earl and Countess of Wessex.

Edmund, 1st Earl of Kent
Soldier
Edmund of Woodstock, 1st Earl of Kent, was a son of Edward I. He was executed for treason in March 1330 outside Winchester castle and was later brought to the Abbey for burial.

William III
William III and Mary II were crowned as joint monarchs in the Abbey on 11th April 1689 – the first time this had happened in England. Their wax effigies are on display.

Statesman
Sir William Trussell was buried in St Michael's chapel in Westminster Abbey. A legacy was received from him by the Abbey sacrist in 1346-1347.

Bridget Holmes, a servant to the royal household, was buried in the north cloister on 26th October 1691. Her grave was at the western end.

Mary Tudor was the daughter of Henry VIII and Katherine of Aragon. She was crowned in the Abbey on 1st October 1553 and lies buried with Elizabeth I.
